Just the sound of healthy & organic dimsums might make you wonder about its elements, taste and ingredients. How is it even possible to experiment with the bite-sized steamy/fried balls, you might think. But Chef Vaibhav Bhargava from Sheraton – ITC Hotels will leave you awestruck with his amazing and inspiring culinary skills. He has laid down some exceptionally delicious, healthy and unusual dimsums for you at Pan Asian Restaurant this August.
The award winning restaurant is running a month long Dimsum festival from Aug 10-31, 2015 at Sheraton Hotel, District Center in Saket. And has both steamed and baked options for vegetarian and non-vegetarians in the house. Priced at such an economical rate, this is something you should not miss out on if you want to change the way you eat and look at dimsums.
I went there in the afternoon and loved every bit of it. After a refreshing cucumber drink I tried my first edamame dimsum from the premium category which was tasty & optimally healthy to its core. Edamame beans are a preparation of immature soybeans in the pod, they are often found in Japanese restaurants and are considered as little pick-me-up snacks. I tried them for the first time, they were really subtle in their flavor and full of anti-oxidants, fiber and protein. A must try if you are mad over hummus!
I also loved the Sweet potato and ginger chili organic dim-sum from the organic dimsums category which was unlike anything I have tasted before. The Quinoa and edamame mash dimsum for the health freaks was again full of goodness and savoring smack. Quinoa is naturally gluten-free and contains iron, B-vitamins, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, vitamin E and fiber. It is one of only a few plant foods that are considered a complete protein and comprised of all pernine essential amino acids. My table was completely stuffed with unconventional, offbeat and mouth-watering dimsums I could never imagine. From spinach & corn dimsums to carrot & beans fried dimsums, I had it all and I left the place in total awe.
The great news is that this fest is running till the end of this month which means you have plenty of time to get together your friends and grab some juicy and gluten free dimsums at a lavish restaurant and at a price which won’t hurt your pockets at all. I would really recommend tasting the variety for once! Chef Vaibhav has combined some great healthy components with the flavors you will absolutely relish! I personally had a great time 🙂
