Since the day I discovered Lodi – The Garden Restaurant through one of the posts on facebook, I was eager to pay them a visit and indulge in their services. I have always loved the idea of outdoor setting and talking to nature while spending quality time with your loved ones! It makes me so happy to be able to breathe deeply yet enjoy the fancy food that looks great and tastes amazing!
Lodi – The Garden Restaurant is one dreamy place in our hustling city that has everything you need to refresh your senses and feel loved by the beauty of the Universe. The massive green space with bamboo interiors, pretty cottages, vintage swings, pebbled floor and everything designed with so much intricate details of keeping the raw nature all intact with modern intersections will swiftly blow your mind. The moment I entered the place I felt so much at ease and at home. I took my bae with me and we deliberately went around the evening time to avoid the cranky sun up in the sky! Though they have indoor area as well with a bar on the top but for a romantic getaway their outdoor setting is super perfect. Decorated with white outline, the cottages will leave an impression of entering the Arabic land and you will feel no less than a king or a queen.
Their food is great too and the best part is that they have seasonal menu so the customers can enjoy different innovative dishes made out of fresh ingredients harvested in their organic farms. You can expect surprises every quarter and making decisions will get a little tough there!
We started the evening with a farm fresh green salad on their new summer menu (INR 425) which is always my favorite thing to munch on and I really liked the addition of pear in the mixture of veggies with sunflower seeds and goat cheese. For the appetizers we chose the olives, tomato & feta in rosemary and garlic on crusty baguette slices which were delicious and crunchy. Though, you want to make sure you finish them quickly before they get all soggy. (INR 365)
The mains for the dinner were comprised of grilled vegetables, pepper, red onion, broccoli & halloumi on a bed of steamed couscous which was healthy, fulfilling and delicious to its core and went beautifully along with a a glass of red wine. My favorite of all things!
We also had a house pumpkin ravioli with basil pesto sauce which was a green beauty for me and had a very thick texture of layers. It was heavy and cooked decently! (INR 595) I complemented that dish with orange martini that gave the tangy flavor to keep it upbeat.
I was totally stoked by their organic + gourmet shop in the corner called “Deli”. They serve organic, ready to eat, fresh produce, gourmet, seasonal jams + dips, ready to cook. and rejuvenating items at super reasonable rates. The organic products on offer are Mango chutney, beetroot pickle, mixed vegetable pickle, mustard oil, basil pesto sauce, organic vegetables, local preserve, chili tomato chutney, etc. I cant wait to go back there and shop for more! The whole place is a must visit with your partner for an evening dinner this summer. The hearty space with its heavenly characteristics in design and environment will leave you awestruck for sure!
